I’ve always loved electronics. Sadly I started before the internet. Now, in just a few minutes I’ve found some of the coolest projects for Arduino and other micro controllers. And the author (lucky larry) of this project is over seas from me. How cool is that? What a great and under appreciated resource the internet is!
Remember back when you had to wait for a magazine to show up with ideas? The library certainly didn’t have do it yourself books. Or worse you had to find someone who knew more than you?
I guess I just want to thank EVERYONE in the Maker movement for sharing. Visit my site Arduino Everything for my projects!
This may be useful for you if you haven’t memorized the pins on the Arduino UNO R3

I gave up on trying to drive the A6280 directly with the Arduino. macetech.com already did what I wanted but couldn’t do myself. They used the A6281 (which doesn’t come in a DIP package- only an SMC) on a nice little breakout board with a RGB LED. Yea!
So here’s the Module. Continue reading “ShiftBright RGB LED Module Saves the Day!”
My LCC project is growing. Too much I/O is needed! I’m exploring the I²C bus system. It seems simple enough.
Direct I/O is nice but is wasteful- I’ve used all the I/O already on the LCC project but I still need more! Wikipedia has a great write up all about it. Now I have to apply it to Arduino!
One of my bestest oldest friends is an electrical engineer/genius. So I asked him- how do I drive 3 LEDs from the least number of Arduino ports?
Allegro Micro he says. I found this. SWEET!
This thing will drive LOTS of these little LED drivers from the SPI serial bus.
I’m so giddy! Digi-Key order is in! Spec sheet after the jump.
